Roll out black sugarpaste, 3 mm thick, to cover the entire cake.
Place the sugarpaste on the cake and use a smoother to smooth out the edges. Carefully cut off the excess around the cake.
Heat large marshmallows in a bowl in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
Wearing plastic gloves, pull out strings of semi-melted marshmallows and create a spider web on the cake.
Glue on sugar eyes here and there with edible glue.
