Make watermelon soaps

How to instructions

  • 1

Melt a little bit of the semi-transparent soap base according to the instructions on the package. Carefully stir in the green soap pigment and fragrance, if using.

  • 2

Pour the green soap base into the silicone mould, covering the bottom, and let set.

  • 3

Melt some of the opaque soap base and do not dye it. Pour the soap on top of the green layer and let set.

  • 4

Melt a little more of the semi-transparent soap and mix in red soap pigment and a few poppy seeds. Pour the mixture into the mould.

  • 5

Remove the soap from the mould once it has fully set and then cut it into watermelon wedges.

Making your own soap means you have endless options when it comes to shape, fragrance and colour. Here, we've made adorable little watermelon soaps by mixing green, opaque and red soap base in three steps. Our soaps also smell delightfully of lavender, because we added fragrance to the mixture. The kids are guaranteed to find it much more fun to wash their hands with a playful soap. These soaps also provide a fun pop of colour next to the sink and add a stylish detail to the bathroom.
