Roll out the clay to about 4 mm thick.
Make patterns by pressing the base of a glass or vase into the clay.
Cut out tags with a gingerbread biscuit cutter.
Poke a hole at the top of the tag with a toothpick.
Smooth the edges and let dry on plastic. Turn over now and then to keep the tag from curving outwards.
Write a Christmas greeting on the back of the tag.
Surprise your friends and family with homemade Christmas gift tags! Start by rolling out the clay. If the clay is new and therefore sticky and hard to work with, you can leave it out for a little while. Make pretty patterns in the clay, for example with a glass or vase. Then punch out your tags with gingerbread biscuit cutters. You can also use your imagination and make your own shapes with a ruler. Write a nice message on the back with a silver or gold pen.
