Roll out a lump of air-dry clay. Make it pointed at one end and blunt at the other.
Flatten the middle of the roll and model the blunt end into a snail-s head, raising it up.
Insert two short lengths of pipe cleaner or toothpicks at the top of the head as feelers.
Finally, glue a chestnut to the middle of the roll for the snail shell.
