Paint a face on a wooden knob. Start by stamping on the whites of the eyes and red cheeks using a round stippler. Next, paint a red mouth and black eyes and lashes using a fine-tipped paintbrush.
Wrap crochet yarn around your hand then cut the wound ball into two lengths so you have about 20 x 8 cm lengths. Glue the yarn lengths to the top of the knob and style them into a fringe.
Cut 6 x 170 cm lengths of yarn. Lay out the yarn lengths in three lots of twos and plait them. Tie bows at both ends of the plaits and trim the ends of the plaits.
Glue the plaits to the face of the knob so they hang down the sides.
Screw the wooden knob to a wall and attach all your hair slides and hair clips to the plaits.
Do your hair slides and hair clips keep going astray? Those special hair accessories always seem to have gone missing when you need them. But with this adorable hairslide tidy in a child's bedroom, you'll have a handy way of organising them. Attach all your prettiest hair slides to the plaits, so you always know where they are.
