Lay the table with New Year’s fireworks

How to instructions

  • 1

Cut a 7 x 15 cm piece of silvery cardboard. Roll it into a tube, overlapping slightly, and glue the seam.

  • 2

Use a glass as a template and draw an approx. 9 cm diameter circle on the back of a glittery black design sheet. Cut out the circle and cut a notch straight to the centre. Fold in the ends to overlap by about 50%, forming a cone. Glue the seam together.

  • 3

Glue the cone on top of the silver tube.

  • 4

Cut a piece of cellophane and glue it inside the tube to stick out like flames from a rocket. Tie a silver ribbon around the cellophane, just before the end of the rocket.

  • 5

Cut out black cardboard stars and write guests’ names on them with a white gel pen. Tie the star around the silver tube with a piece of silver ribbon.

  • 6

Fold stars from paper strips. Instructions for folding paper stars are included with the star strips. To make the small stars, cut the paper strips in half lengthwise first.

Make a dazzling silver display for your New Year’s Eve party table! Every guest gets their own New Year’s firework as a place card at this festive table setting. You can also sprinkle the table with silver paper stars and sparkling sequins for an extra boost of glitter.
