Make a noughts and crosses game with beads!
How to instructions
1
Arrange Hama tube beads on a full square pegboard to make a game board. You get to choose if you want it to be patterned or just one colour. Place a piece of ironing paper over the square, iron the game board, and then place a weight on top of it.
2
Make a frame by arranging a grid pattern on the square pegboard. You should have 3x3 boxes without beads, i.e. 9 boxes total. Iron the grid pattern and place it under a weight.
3
Glue the grid on top of the game board.
4
Make two different kinds of game pieces, 5 of both kinds. Iron the game pieces and place them under a weight.
5
Start playing and see who can get three in a row first!
Playing games is so much fun! With Hama beads, the kids can make their own noughts and crosses game while practicing their fine motor skills. Crafting with beads is fun and simple, and best of all, you get to decide exactly how the game will look. For example, we've made our game pieces with flowers, but you could also make rings, hearts, crosses or other fun shapes. Then just start playing!
