Find a box at home. We used a Panduro packaging box. Cut away the top of the box and make the short sides curved. Save the scraps youve cut away.
Trace four wheels and a steering wheel on the scrap pieces, and cut them out. Spray paint them black.
Cut a hole in the bottom and attach ribbons in an X shape across the top corners.
Glue a toilet paper roll to the back, as an exhaust pipe.
Cut a toilet paper roll at an angle and glue it to the inside, where the steering wheel will go. Then glue the steering wheel to the roll.
Decorate your car with glittery details.
The best toys are often the ones you make yourself, and this is a really fun craft. You can be a car manufacturer and make the absolute eco-friendliest car ever! We reused a box and some toilet paper rolls to make our car. Then we decorated it with crafting materials. Make a string of pompoms and attach it to the exhaust pipe as colourful smoke. Glue a pipe cleaner around the steering wheel and cut out glittery craft rubber details. Last, add personality to your car by attaching giant eyes to the front as headlights. We even added glittery eyelashes to our super-speedy race car. Then have your child step into the box and stand up with the ribbons crossed at the shoulders. Now it's time to put the pedal to the metal and go full speed ahead!
