Gather flowers and leaves that you like.
Press the flowers in a flower press, between the white sheets of paper, and tighten the press.
Tighten the press every two or three days to create beautifully pressed flowers. After a week or two, open the flower press and remove the dried flowers.
Dip the dried flowers in glue, on both the front and back. Wipe off the excess glue and arrange the flowers on the outside of clean, dry glass jars.
Carefully press the flowers in place with a brush, so that they are flat against the jar. Let dry.
Tie a matching satin ribbon around the jar.
Have the kids make flower-covered candle holders and vases out of old jars and bottles! Start by pressing and drying beautiful flowers and plants in a flower press. Save and wash empty glass jars and bottles that you want to reuse, then decorate them with the dried flowers. The result will be stunning centrepieces and party decorations!
