Before starting your project, carefully study the instructions on safe handling of the resin.
Dry beautiful leaves and plants that you want to cast.
Stand a suitably-sized screw with the screwhead facing down in a silicone mould. We used a baking mould.
Mix the resin according to the pack instructions. Wear protective gloves.
Pour a small amount of resin into the mould and then add a dried leaf or another dried plant.
Fill up with resin to the edge.
Leave the resin to cure for 24 hours before removing the knob from the mould.
Using resin, you can create beautiful home decor accents. We have made knobs that could be used to spruce up an old chest of drawers or cabinet door. We recommend that you dry plants and leaves before you cast them in resin. We also made a swirly-green knob by adding drops of Touch Alcohol Ink. To do this, add resin almost to the top edge of the mould, then add drops of ink and gently stir a little.
Note: Resin is a complex blend of materials, so take care to read all the pack instructions before starting.
