How to make a necklace and bracelet with strings of pearls:
Cut the gold-coloured chain into the two lengths of your choice. Place a string of pearls between the two chains.
String a crimp bead onto one end of a piece of jewellery wire. Then thread the wire through the end of one chain and back through the crimp bead, forming a loop around the chain. Use flat or round-nose pliers to squeeze the crimp bead.
String the desired number of freshwater pearls onto the jewellery wire. Cut the wire and finish the same way you began, but with the other piece of chain.
Attach jump rings and a clasp to the other ends of the chains. Remember to open and close the jump rings sideways so that they retain their shape.
Make your own unique and classic pearl jewellery! Here, we've made three different variations with freshwater pearls. You can make bead strands as we described above; you can string rocaille beads and freshwater pearls onto jewellery wire (see the video); or you can string a pearl pendant onto a chain. Cut the chain to the lengths of your choice, where you want to place the pendant. Thread a freshwater pearl onto a bead pin. Snip off the pin about 1 cm from the pearl and shape into a loop with round-nose pliers. Thread one end of the two chains onto a large jump ring. Thread the pearl pendant onto the ring and close with the other chain. Attach jump rings and a clasp to the other ends of the chains. Be careful to open and close the jump rings sideways so that they retain their shape.
