Paint one large and one small wooden ball any colour. Let dry.
Attach string to the rabbit: Fold the string in half twice, and pull it through the large wooden ball twice to make rabbit ears. Glue it into the hole. Attach string to the bear: Thread the string through the large wooden ball, tie a knot, and glue it into the hole. Cut the top of the string into fringe and glue to the bears forehead.
Paint a face on the big wooden ball.
Cut out the bears ears from felt and glue them on, and glue on a bead as a nose.
Tie a knot at the bottom of the string and glue it to the small wooden ball.
Hand-made bookmarks are the perfect gift for a bookworm! In this example, we've made an adorable rabbit and bear. Start by painting the wooden balls any colour you like. Then attach a piece of linen string between the large and small wooden balls. Use the linen string to make ears on the rabbit. Use the string to give the bear fringe. Cut out the bear's ears from felt and glue them on, and glue on a bead as a nose. Remember to glue the knot into the hole on the small wooden ball to keep it securely in place. Finish by painting a face on the large wooden ball.
