Cut out two ears in grey wool felt, about 12 cm tall and 8 cm wide. The ears should be curved at the top and finish in a point.
Place the felt ears on a felting mat and needle-felt white wool to the inside of the ears. Leave 1 cm of grey around the edges and let a bit of white wool hang down at the lower edge.
Fold in one side of both ears about 2 cm and poke with the felting needle to keep the fold in place. Then attach the ears to the headband with the folds facing each other.
Fold the lower edge of each ear around the headband. Poke with the needle from both the front and the back of the ear to attach it to the headband. Needle-felt additional grey wool from the back at the fold, so that the ear is securely attached to the headband.
Needle-felt a bit of loose white wool to the middle of the ear, and a bit of loose grey wool to the back of the point of the ear, to create a slightly shaggy look.
Wrap grey wool around the entire headband and needle-felt in place until the headband is completely covered.
