Making your own trendy hobby horse doesn't have to be difficult! With our premade frame as a starting point, this is a fun and easy project. We've chosen to make a grey mane and a spotted grey coat. But you can personalise your horse and make exactly what you want. Here's what we did: Cut out two eyes from black felt. Pin them on first to make sure they're in the right place. When they look even, glue them on. Add a white dot to each side; we used a white Posca pen. Next it's time to paint the coat! Dot fabric paint sparingly here and there; don't forget the mouth, nostrils and around the eyes. Let dry for a moment. Once your hobby horse is dry, cut pieces of grey yarn to about 50 cm. Then take a piece, tie the ends and sew between the ears and down along the neck of the horse. Tie on each piece of yarn, piece by piece. Once all of the yarn is tied on, sew in place. Make the fringe by tying pieces of yarn and attaching them between the ears. To make the mane more dynamic, you can untwist the yarn for a curly effect. Now it's time to take your horse for a ride. But don't forget the bridle!
