Upcycling - transform your old furniture into something new and gorgeous! METHOD: Start by scraping away old, loose paint if needed. Wash with paint surface cleaner. Spackle any holes. Sand the furniture to help the paint adhere better, first with thick sandpaper and then with fine sandpaper. (150). Remember to sand in the same direction as the wood grain. Choose a colour from the Panduro Vintage Furniture Paint series. Stir the paint. Paint a thin layer. Always paint in one direction for nice, even results. Let dry for 1-2 hours. Sand a little if you like with fine sandpaper, then apply the next layer of paint. Let dry. The paint will be completely dry after 2 days; do not weigh down the furniture before then. For furniture that will be exposed to more wear and tear, we recommend applying a protective varnish after the paint dries, such as Panduro Vintage Furniture matt varnish.
