Vintage Furniture Paint is a thick, wonderful furniture paint that is so matt it feels chalky. It is a dream to paint with and covers well. Preferably, apply the paint so the brush strokes are visible, then sand a little here and there so the end result looks old and worn. Protect the surface with wax or varnish. We added a little gold to the edges and corners of this cupboard for an added effect. Start by washing, sanding and, if needed, applying shellac to any vague spots or knots. Then apply a layer of paint, wait 1-2 hours and add another layer if needed.
