Paper clay leaves
How to instructions
Make lovely leaves from clay; use real leaves as a template. METHOD: Start by rolling a lump of white Silkis paper clay into a ball. Then roll out the clay on a plastic mat or similar into a 3-5 mm thick disc. Place the leaf with the underside (where the veins are strongest) facing the clay. Roll again to make an impression of the leaf in the clay. Carefully lift off the leaf. If you want to make a pendant, make a hole in the clay/leaf edge using a flower stick or something similar. Then cut out the leaf with a sharp knife. Let the clay dry completely. The leaf will curve slightly as it dries. If you want more of a bowl shape, then fold up the edges of the leaf and support it with something from beneath while it dries.
