Use a complete spread to mark the beginning of a month; weve started with January.
Use the subtle dots on the page as guidelines when writing the name of the month. Measure how long and wide the letters should be with a ruler and draw thin lines between them with a pencil.
Write the name of the month in pencil first. When you are satisfied, fill it in with black pen.
Decorate the month page with paper tape in pretty, shimmering colours.
Write a nice message or quotation on the other page and add confetti cut out from the tape.
Plan and organise your life with a bullet journal ("bujo"). Bullet journaling is a concept that lets you combine a calendar, diary, dreams and plans - all in one notebook. The subtle dot grid on the pages in a dotted journal helps when writing, drawing and sketching. It's always wise to begin drawing and writing in pencil, and to fill in with a pen once you're satisfied. We used a double ended Twin Brush pen, with a brush tip for brush lettering and a thin tip for the details. Decorate your monthly spread with paper tape in shimmering metallic colours and write an inspiring message that you want to keep with you throughout the month.
