First, knead a lump of clay. Press a candle holder into the centre of the lump.
Shape the clay into a figure. Make the arms separately and attach them to the figure while the clay is still moist. Use a tool to carve eyes and a mouth.
Let the figures dry completely. It may take up to a day, depending on the size.
Spray paint the figures with multiple layers and colours.
Use black paint and a thin brush to paint eyes and a mouth.
We sprayed our clay figures with multiple layers of Vintage Spray and NO LIMIT spray to create beautiful colour transitions. We applied light grey first, then turquoise, black, and finally a bit of gold. To create the dot pattern, press the nozzle carefully so that the paint comes out unevenly. Once the figures are dry, insert stearin candles into the candle holders. These adorable clay fellows are perfect for lighting up any room!
