Wrap the legs of the stool in plastic to protect them from paint.
In separate paper cups, combine water and Hobbylack gloss in different colours. The consistency should resemble buttermilk.
Pour the paints in several rounds into a new, clean paper cup. Then pour all of the paint over the top of the stool. Allow the paint to drip over the edges and then let it dry for 24 hours.
Use Glazing Resin to give the stool a smooth, glassy finish. Carefully read through the instructions first. Wear protective gloves and blend the resin thoroughly according to the instructions for at least 5 minutes (otherwise, it may not firm up).
Pour the resin over the top of the stool and allow it to drip over the edges. Spread the resin with a clean brush, if needed.
Wipe or scrape any drops of resin off the underside of the stool. Let the resin dry for 24 hours, and then the stool is ready to use!
Using a pouring technique and a resin glaze, you can reinvigorate old, worn-out wooden furniture with colour! We've renewed a stool with spectacular poured patterns in green, black and white. Protect your entire work surface with plastic before you begin. Keep in mind that you must mix the resin exactly as stated in the instructions. Otherwise, it might not firm up properly, and sitting on the stool could leave impressions. Water droplets could cause the resin to become matt, so avoid contact with water.
