When you win a contest with your hobby horse, you'll need a prize rosette to hang up on the wall! These aren't just pretty; they're also really fun to make. Start by punching out a cardboard circle using a figure punch. Then fold the ribbon and staple each pleat to the cardboard using a stapler. Ribbon with metal wire along the edges (the silver one in the picture) can simply be folded over. Make one large and one small circle in your favourite colours and glue the small one on top of the big one. We also made circles with little turquoise satin ribbon points for these rosettes. Make each point individually and staple or glue them in place one by one. We used a hot glue gun to stick them on. Next, cut a piece of ribbon and attach it to the back of the rosette, and snip the ends into points. Then punch out a cardboard circle and attach it on top. Decorate with stickers, rhinestone letters and sparkly numbers. Apply glue where needed. Attach a brooch pin to the back of the rosette so you can attach it. All that's left now is to declare the winner!
