Renew furniture with paint
How to instructions
1
Clean the cupboard with paint surface cleaner and sand away any unevenness, if needed.
2
Brush with shellac if the wood has knots. Otherwise, brown spots may appear after youve painted it.
3
Paint the entire cupboard with matte furniture paint. Let dry, and if you like, apply another coat of paint if the coverage is inadequate. Let the furniture dry for about two days.
4
Paint wooden dowels and knobs using the same colour as the cupboard. Let dry.
5
Glue the wooden decor to the cupboard doors with wood glue.
Turn something old into something new and personalise your home! Reusing things you already have is fun and eco-friendly. We've rejuvenated an old cupboard with a little paint and imagination. Feel free to experiment when making the pattern with the wooden dowels. Cut them to different lengths to make a simple, yet elegant sun pattern. We used Greenspot Vintage, which is Nordic Ecolabelled chalk paint intended especially for indoor furniture. The paint has good opacity and produces a wonderful matte finish.
