Roll out a piece of clay.
Place dried flowers and plants on top of the rolled clay and then carefully roll the flowers and plants so that they make an impression in the clay.
Leave some of the flowers in the clay and remove the rest so that only their impressions are visible.
Make a small hole near the top edge for hanging.
Leave the clay to dry for 1 to 2 days. If the flowers fall out when the clay has dried you can glue them back into place.
Thread a decorative piece of string through the hole and then hang your clay picture on the wall.
Make your own pictures with air-dried clay and dried flowers! Clay is a wonderful and meditational material to create things with. It is amazing how a lump of clay can become art with a little working. We have decorated our clay pictures with beautiful dried flowers as a memory of the halcyon days of summer. But you can also paint the clay when it has dried. You get to decide what your lump of clay will become.
