Combine alginate and water in a container, insert your fingers and hold them in place until the mixture sets. You have now made moulds of your fingers.
Divide the Artestone powder in half before blending it.
Blend half of the Artestone powder and pour into the finger moulds. Let the mixture set and carefully pull up the cast fingers (without breaking the mould).
Blend the rest of the Artestone powder and pour it into the mould. Let set and pull up the casts.
Brush the fingers with black Hobbylack and a little water, to give them a soot-covered look. Let dry.
Tie a name tag with black satin ribbon to each finger. And voila! Youve made place cards shaped like severed fingers.
Are you searching for bizarre ideas for a unique Halloween table setting? In that case, you've come to the right place. Tie all your guests' names to severed fingers (made from a mould)! Cast them yourself in an alginate mould. The cool thing about alginate is that you get to make the mould yourself. Follow the instructions on the package for how to combine the alginate for the mould and the Artestone powder for the cast. Remember to blend the Artestone powder in two rounds, so that you can make a total of ten cast fingers. The perfect macabre table decoration for a super scary Halloween party!
