How to make eyes for your hobby horse: Mark where the glass eyes will be and then glue them in place with a hot glue gun. Cut out two crescents for each eye from white hobby felt and glue them above and below the eyes to make eyelids. Sew the edges of the eyelids in place, so that they frame the eyes nicely. Glue on lashes.
Cut 90-cm-long pieces of white yarn for the mane. Tie a knot at either end of a piece of yarn, and then sew one end between the horses ears, and the other to the base of the neck. Then tie the yarn threads together, individually, to the sewn-on yarn.
Cut 90-cm-long pieces of T-shirt yarn in different colours and tie them on between the white threads. Sew the yarn knots to the horse.
Make a few braids in the mane and tie gold ribbon bows around them.
Sew or glue a unicorn horn to the forehead, either with or without a hook-and-loop fastener.
String white beads onto a piece of jewellery thread, tie a knot, and glue them around the horn for added decoration.
What could be more whimsical or magical than a unicorn? Make your own fantastic hobby horse and gallop off to an enchanted imaginary world. You can easily change the colour of your unicorn's horn if you use the hook-and-loop fastener included. Your hobby horse could have a white horn for everyday wear, and a pink or gold one for competitions! Anything is possible in the magical world of unicorns!
We recommend a glue gun for gluing, but bear in mind that the tip gets very hot.
