Give a piece of furniture your own unique touch. Upcycling is an eco-friendly trend that involves improving or freshening up something old, like a piece of furniture. Maybe it's something you found at a flea market, or something you already had at home that could use a new look. We upcycled this table by painting it with Vintage Paint in the colours Stone, Cotton White and Soft Black. Here's what to do: Scrape off old paint and if needed, clean with paint surface cleaner. Use a wood filler to fill any holes. To help the paint adhere to the table, it may be wise to sand the table - first with coarse sandpaper, then with fine sandpaper. Sand in the direction of the wood grain. Stir the paint and apply a thin coat. Let the table dry for 1-2 hours between each coat. You can also give the table a vintage look by dipping a scraggly brush or sponge in paint and dotting it over any raised areas, edges or borders. You could also lightly sand the table to achieve that look. Upcycle and enjoy a rejuvenated piece of furniture!
