Tie-dye set, a set of water-based, super-runny fabric dyes for tie-dyeing. Upcycle discarded T-shirts, towels or socks to make brand new fashion statements! The set includes 4 packs of 100 ml dye: turquoise, green, pink and yellow plus 4 plastic pipettes and 25 rubber bands. The dyes are intended only for white or pale cotton fabrics. Tie-dyeing instructions are also included. Cover the work surface with plastic sheeting and wear protective gloves. The fabric or garment must be pre-washed and damp before you start. Roll, twist or fold the fabric and then secure with rubber bands a few centimetres apart. Drip on dye using the pipettes in different spots on the garment or fabric, leaving some areas undyed – the dye spreads. Next, press down with your hand in the spots where you dripped the dye to help it soak in. Leave to dry for 1-24 hours and then remove the rubber bands. Air dry your dyed items. When dry, you need to fix the dye using an iron set to cotton heat, for 5 minutes. You can also fix the dye in the oven set to 150°C – but if so, make sure the item has no buttons/elastic/details that cannot withstand that temperature. The finished object can be washed at 40°C max and ironed inside out. Wash separately the first few times.
