Molotow Acrylic Marker sets, these powerful acrylic-based pens from German Molotow are very well known among graffiti and street art circles. But these high-quality pens are suited to so much more than that – they adhere incredibly well to paper, cardboard, photos, glass, plastic, metal, leather and stone. Mix techniques by combining them with ordinary markers, watercolours and traditional painting for incredible opportunities to truly elevate your work.
Pump-based markers, 14 cm, with round pen bodies. An oblong, transparent section on the side lets you see how much ink is left. The pens have a bullet nib/round tip of 4 mm. Shake the pen, press the tip vertically to a piece of paper until it clicks slightly: this means the tip is filled with ink.
The highly pigmented paint in the markers is also used in Molotow's spray paints. Excellent opacity, with striking colours that dry quickly to a semi-gloss finish on both dark and light surfaces. The high opacity means that almost without exception, they can be applied over all other paints.
These pens adhere best to absorbent/porous materials or very sturdy drawing pads with a high weight, preferably with a special coating. Paper that is too light or thin will buckle.
These pens can be refilled with paint and the tips can be replaced, so you will enjoy your Molotow pens for a long time.
