Roll out the clay (about 5 mm thick) and punch out hearts of any size. Dont forget to punch holes for hanging the hearts!
Place the hearts on a level surface and leave to dry; this takes about 24 hours. It is important for them to be completely dry before you begin to paint them. Check if your hearts are ready by placing them on an ordinary piece of paper; if the paper becomes moist, they are not fully dry yet.
Next, youll be decorating your hearts! We chose a blue Stabilo pen for our hearts. Draw little patterns like arcs, flowers, dashes and dots; let your imagination lead the way.
Let the ink dry and then thread narrow satin ribbon through the hole you punched at the top of the hearts.
Now all you have to do is hang your hearts on the Christmas tree, attach to gifts, or how about using them for decorating a festive dining table?
Silkis paper clay is fun to work with, and best of all: it's self-hardening! Here, we have made beautiful white hearts and decorated them in blue.
