Brighten up a boring lamp cord with macramé knots in beautiful yarn. Here, we used thick jute twine. Cut three equally long pieces of twine (about 2 m) and tie them to the beginning of the lamp cord. You should have two equally long ends to work with. Tie half knots until the yarn ends are quite short. If you have more cord to cover, add a new piece of twine. To do that, cut equally long pieces of twine again and work them in (overlapping) at the ends. Continue with the spiral knot technique, adding new twine as needed. Cut off all ends that stick out when you are done.
