Make a template: Using a small plate, trace a semi-circle on a regular sheet of drawing paper. Cut out the semi-circle and roll it into a cone. The edges of the cone will need to overlap slightly, but you can trim it if there is too much overlap.
Trace the template on a piece of black hobby card and carve or cut out the semi-circles. Roll them into cones and glue them together.
Cut out a circle for the brim of the hat.
Glue the cone to the brim.
Write guests’ names on the hat brim with a white Posca pen.
Create a frighteningly fabulous tablescape for Halloween with little black witch hats! Make a hat for each guest and use them as place cards on the table. Hold the cone together with a paperclip until the glue has dried or use a hot glue gun with quick-drying glue. Trace a plate and cut it out to make the circle for the base of the hat. Decorate the table with personalised witch hats, spooky spider webs and icky spiders to create this year’s ghastliest party tablescape.
