Cut two 5-cm-long pieces of leather cord.
Take one piece of cord and fold both ends towards the centre, overlapping them slightly. Then wrap a piece of copper wire around the point where the ends meet, creating two loops. Adjust them to make one loop slightly smaller than the other. You will attach the bigger loop around the earpiece of the glasses. Repeat the steps to make another attachment with the other piece of leather cord.
Cut a piece of jewellery wire. String a crimp bead onto the jewellery wire and then poke the wire through the small loop on one of the leather attachments. Thread the wire through the crimp bead again, tighten, and squeeze the crimp bead with flat-nosed pliers.
String on rocaille beads in different colours and styles until your glasses strap is as long as you want it to be.
String a crimp bead onto the jewellery wire and poke the wire through the small loop on the other leather attachment. Poke the wire through the crimp bead again, tighten so that the beads are firmly in place, and squeeze the crimp bead with flat-nosed pliers.
Slide the leather attachments over the earpieces and voilà! Youve made a strap for your glasses!
Do you tend to lose your glasses? With a classic strap for your glasses, you'll never have to search for them again. Not to mention that it's a super stylish accessory! This beautiful beaded strap is great for sunglasses or reading glasses; just hang the strap around your neck and you'll always know where your glasses are.
